So this is, or I should say, was my horse, Randy. I was working at a Barn, cleaning the stalls and for helping them out, they let me lease him for free. I took a pic of him, while I was covered in mud cause I accidentally lost my boot in the muck. :P And then I drew the pic in watercolor for a school project. It now hangs in my house and with matting and everything, it's about 3ft 4 1/2 inches long and 2ft 8 inches wide. It's my pride and joy.

watercolor on cold press.
time: roughly 2 and a half weeks. (i kicked it into high gear for an art contest XD )

To God be the glory!
Oh man, that's excellent. The level of detail is just, just, gah! *feels like such a newbie*

I especially like the texture for his fur. How did you do that? Was it just lots of attention to detail?
It is absolutely beautiful.....and you have captured his essence too!!

Very good. Well done:-)
Your tenderness to detail and constrasting of light makes this work jump out! I find this level of care inspiring, I hope I can do this someday. :+fav:
